How do I get my iMac back home?

I’m studying in Milan at the moment and bought myself an iMac 21inch here, but I’m going home at the end of July and of course I want to take it with me back to South Africa. FedEx will charge me around 550 euros to ship it back home, which is a lot! Any ideas on how I can get it back home? Is DHL cheaper than FedEx?

take it with you
550€ is quite a lot for shipping, even if it is to South Africa.
Just take it with you on the plane, train or what ever transportation you are going to use, this is free and probably avoids you paying import duties as well!
